API Keys
API keys authenticate your servers, SDKs, and third-party integrations with Cano Analytics. Every key is tied to a scope that limits what it can do.Key Scopes
Listing Your Keys
Navigate to Settings → API Keys to see all active keys, including their scope, creation date, and the last time each key was used.Creating a New Key
1
Open API Keys settings
Go to Settings → API Keys and click Create New Key.
2
Name and scope the key
Enter a descriptive name (e.g.,
production-backend) and select the appropriate scope: read, write, or admin.3
Copy the key immediately
Your new key is displayed once. Copy it to a secure location such as a secrets manager — it will not be shown again.
Revoking a Key
Click the Revoke button next to any key in the list. Revocation is immediate — any service using that key will lose access instantly. Create a replacement key before revoking if you need to rotate credentials with zero downtime.Data Retention
Data retention controls how long raw event data is stored before it is permanently deleted. Aggregated dashboard metrics are not affected by retention settings.
To change your retention period, go to Settings → Data Retention, select the period you want, and click Save. If your current plan does not support a longer retention period, you will be prompted to upgrade.
Notifications
Cano Analytics can send email alerts to workspace admins when something requires attention.- Sync Failures — Get notified when a data source connection fails or an ingestion job produces errors.
- Data Anomalies — Receive an alert when event volume drops or spikes significantly compared to recent baselines.
Danger Zone
The Danger Zone contains irreversible actions that affect your entire workspace.- Reset Workspace Data — Deletes all events, dashboards, and data sources while keeping your workspace configuration and team members intact.
- Delete Workspace — Permanently deletes the workspace and all of its data, including member access, API keys, and every stored event.
